This unit is constructed from stargate of Protoss which was firstly designed in planet Shakuras by the nomadic Dark Templars.The unit is very cheap,fast,can be produced rapidly and has splash damage.A group of corsair can be very brutal against a light armored fleet like (mutalisks, wraiths). Because the splash damage ability will crush the enemy armors easily.If you play against a Zerg do corsairs as fast as you can and send them to hunt down overlords which will truly harm the enemy economics.The unit also has distruption web ability which will neutralize the enemy units or buildings under the area of distruption web.
