Protoss strategies and tactics

To win the game easily you must know that the number of probes are very important our aim must take the most efficient mineral and gas flow during macro.If cash flow is good you can make your army easily and rapidly which will directly effected the games destinity.

When you start the game the map is also important here the most played map is on multiplayer games is lost temple.Because this map gives nearly equal economy and tactical advantage to all players.For instance we are playing at lost temple map.We first make probes our first aim must be create lots of probes to obtain sufficient mineral and gas so we must not stop creating probes.Always and always our priority must be making more and more probes this is very important.But we must also know that alot of probe means latency of our first attack and other applications against our rival.Then another thing is the importance of your opponents race ıf he is random you first priority must be determining the race of your enemy.

For instance he is zerg and you are protoss we suggest that you build at least two gateways at the begining of the game because you need more and more zealot to overcome the possible zergling rush and second or third waves of zergling assault on your base.If you are playing at lost temple you can easily defend yourself by holding two or three zealots on your cliffs entrance so the zerglings possible attack surface will be reduced and the zerglings which cannot attack the zeaolots directly will begin to turn on theirselves by these advantage you can easily kill these zerglings maybe without any loss of zealots(by using micro of course) here the important thing is your Mouse click speed .If you want to increase your Mouse click speed which can also means APM (Action per minute)you can play some specific use map setting –maps which will be usefull upon your APM.When you overcome the first zergling attack wave (here you can use probes to help zeolots at fight) you can build cannons at your entrance but remember that more cannon means always defensive which also means increases the chance of loosing the game –here offensive is everything for the protoss- so be carefull at your cannon builing rate do not built unnecessary cannons because do not forget that you can make warp gate also at the same mineral!.Yes we built optimum cannon then what will we do now will we take exp?(exp=expansion= a new resource center which means nexus lair or command center)or we will assault. In multiplayer games europeans have tendency to have exp at the first safe point with making cannons but koreans have the tendency of making assault before taking exp.Here you can choose any of these tactics but i suggest that attacking will be good.Because this makes the enemy more defensive and this is what we exactly want.If the enemy will be in defensive mode you will be more free to make desired startegies.But remember if your attacks means nothing to your enemy you must reduce your attacks because it means loss of resources for nothing and if you are late at taking new exp your enemy will double or triple the production rate and your forces will be exterminated by the large opponent forces.So we can see here there is a new optimisation problem here taking exp with some efficient attacks will be optimum we can say.Now there will be an important transition when you take exp the macro workload will be increased because more resources coming and you must spend these resources rapidly.Here building 4 gates for one exp will be optimum.This number is tested several times and it is realy a good number if you build more one of your Gates will be surely unnecessary if u make 4 for one exp your production rate will be truly low.Here is again the importance of APM will rise again but remember the APM can be neutraulised if your tactics are strong.I think Starcraft’s best thing is the best important thing is the tactics not the reflexive actions or memorised movements. Now we can if we have 6 gates we can attack directly to our opponents base entrance or we can assault the base by dropping technology here is an important point i ll say reconning.It determines the fate of the game it determines the war’s results.For instance you have an army which is combined and say 48 units first you must recon the enemies base,army , strategiacal points and of course exps.Then determine your aim before winning the game striking the economy of your enemy or striking the production center?If the enemy has lots of exps striking economy will not be so wise, you must attack the production center recon there and calculate or plan how you can destroy the existing defensive units and buildings regroup your army and attack here is the courage is very very important too if you assault always after than your enemy your offensse ability is low i unfortunately say.Be like templars do not hesitate show no mercy!!. The protoss army has great abilities which are strength and rapidly mobilization you can strike one after another strategical points by your army and you can maybe defeat the game one general strike.Here is the goal must be clear and you must move paralel to this goal.If your enemy lots of Gates and he is in defensive position or ready to coming assault you can wait your enemy and strike defensless points the psicological and surprised effects will easily uncontrolled your enemy and you have a choice of making a very smooth micro to take opponents units easily with little unit loss.I suggest that a new tactic you can use here is the aim of the tactic is assaulting the psicology of your enemies brain J.make 3 or 4 dropships(shuttle) and drop your unit always to your enemies base do not attack your enemy directly to the entrance just drop From one point your opponent will be very very angry and he will uncontrol his unitsJ,But the weakness of this tactic is if your enemy is very experienced and his APM is very higher than yours this tactic may fail because of insufficient resorces or insufficient defense because this tactic is ver offensive and risky tactic think twice before you make this tactic.
