Lots of people are still playing Starcraft with a great passion.In these days we are waiting for SC 2 but still they are playing SC original and Broodwar so SC 2 must be far more greater than SC original to keep its fans.But we must know that there are 11years differance between SC original and SC 2 so the reaction will be different too.This is of course known from the builders of this game and new game is formed by these conditions.You can easily observe that in new trailers.It can be allowed for a some limit but from a point if the games main properties are changed very far from by its original type the same succes may not be obtained again.But still the game we are waiting is very very brilliant i think.
