Today we are gonna calculate the possibilty of the XelNaga like civilisation in our Galaxy.

The formula is the same;

N = R* x f_p x n_e x f_l x f_i x f_c x L

R* is the rate of star creation in our galaxy

f_p is the fraction of those stars which have planets

n_e is average number of planets which can potentially support life per star that has planets

f_l is the fraction of the above which actually go on to develop life

f_i is the fraction of the above which actually go on to develop intelligent life

f_c is the fraction of the above which are willing and able to communicate

L is the expected lifetime of such a civilisation

R* = 20/year, f_p = 0.1, n_e = 1, f_l = 1, f_i = 0.5, f_c = 0.1, and L = 100,000 years

N = 20 x 0.1 x 1 x 1 x 0.1 x 0.01 x 200000= 11250

We have changed f_i = 0.5 value into 0.1 because the XelNaga race is designer of both Protoss and Zerg which means their intelligence is very very high and their possibility will be very low.

We have changed the f_c = 0.1into 0.01 because their profile is similar to the race Protoss in other words they like hiding.

we take L=200000 because we can imagine only high lifetimed organisms can design very complex species.
